Job Summary

Mart city project

Responsible for the coordination, implementation, control, completion and management of the smart meter city project

  • Responsible for managing schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables of the project.
  • Monitors teams to make sure goals and objectives are being met and maintains knowledge of larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise. Maintains standards and monitors scope with project quality.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The principal duties shall cut across these phases of the project

Project initiation

  1. Develop a project charter for the smart meter city project
  2. Stakeholder management – identifying stakeholders, their interests and peculiarities

Project planning

  1. Integration management: Developing a project management plan
  2. Scope management: Defining and managing scope, creating a work breakdown structure (WBS), and requirements gathering
  3. Time management: Planning, defining, and developing schedules, activities, estimating resources and activity durations
  4. Costs management: Planning and estimating costs, and determining budgets
  5. Quality management: Planning and identifying quality requirements
  6. Human Resource management: Planning and identifying human resource needs
  7. Communications management: Planning communications
  8. Risk management: Planning for and identifying potential risks, performing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, and planning risk mitigation strategies
  9. Procurement management: Planning for and identifying required procurements
  10. Stakeholder management: Planning for stakeholder expectations

Execution monitoring

  1. Integration management: Directing and managing all workstreams for the project

Competency and Skill Requirements

  • Good appreciation of research analysis and evaluation techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of macro and micro environmental trends.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of strategic planning and corporate scorecard and performance measurement processes.
  • Good knowledge of the various industries of interest to the Group and an appreciation of the dynamics of emerging markets.
  • Proven data gathering and analytical skills; experience with secondary data sources.
  • Ability to think strategically and holistically and to appreciate the systemic impact of various policies, issues and solutions.
